The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Policy Dialogue on Institutional Arrangements for the Circular Economy and the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources will take place online on 6 April 2022, at 17:15-18:30 CEST.
Government actors and other stakeholders will discuss how to harness synergies between government institutions and share experiences about administrative requirements for policy making in the circular economy context. We will hear from various parts of the UNECE region on the establishment and implementation of circular economy regulations to identify good practices and analyse the way forward.
The highlight of the event will be the launch of the new stakeholder engagement platform: Circular STEP. The stakeholder network will connect policy makers and other circular economy actors to promote the sharing of experiences and cooperation in the field.
This session is a side event of UNECE’s annual Regional Forum on Sustainable Development in the UNECE Region. The challenges and crises of our time call for a much more sustainable path of development for our planet, our economies and societies, and so the Regional Forum is being held to bring together all actors to promote action, solutions and peer learning to deliver the shift to sustainability in the UNECE region. This year, our division is looking forward to showcasing our work on gender, standards, digitalisation and circularity.
Please see the registration page for further details. English-Russian interpreting will be available. The tentative agenda and further information can be found on the UNECE webpage.
